South African Mathematics Foundation

Harmony supports the development and education of South African students through its contribution to the South African Mathematics Foundation (SAMF). The SAMF serves as a national office for mathematics to promote the effective co-ordination, administration and advancement of mathematics in South Africa.

Project AuTEK

Project AuTEK is a joint initiative between Mintek and three major gold mining houses in South Africa, namely Harmony, Gold Fields and AngloGold Ashanti. The AuTEK model is considered as highly successful by government and is often referred to as a role model for industrial / research collaboration.

The Minerals Education Trust Fund

The Minerals Education Trust Fund was set up with the objective of supporting, promoting and advancing the interests of minerals education in South Africa, to address and resolve tertiary education challenges.
